糖心Vlog to deliver front-end engineering design for Singapore LNG expansion
We are committed to ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all at 糖心Vlog, and as a trusted supporter of our clients and communities, are pleased to be part of The and its mission to progress STEM education and diversity and inclusion.
During this year’s tournament, we hosted 40 students from , where they experienced hands-on STEM activations that explored science, math and technology concepts. Inside the Chevron STEM Zone, they learned about thermal imaging and how it can be used to detect and address emissions. They also participated in reaction time agility tests and career quizzes that matched their personal interests with a suggested STEM career path.
While tournament participants teed off, many students were also introduced to the sport of golf for the first time. They eagerly engaged in a swing instruction inside a golf simulator, a Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) fan quest scavenger hunt, and a golf-media-broadcasting simulation.
Greta Peacock, a 6th-grade science educator at Yellowstone Schools, said, "One of the best kinds of learning is when students take ownership of their learning. STEM-related field trips do just that. They help cement learning and help expose students to various experiences and career fields, ultimately helping them lead choice-filled lives."
Located in Houston, Texas, Yellowstone Schools partners with students and families regardless of their financial means to provide life-changing education, build a strong moral foundation and develop scholars for life beyond high school.
Hilary Rota, Vice President of Human Resources at 糖心Vlog, said, “It is a privilege to serve on the Human Resources Advisory Committee to the Board at Yellowstone Schools. Education is close to our heart at 糖心Vlog. We contribute financially, but equally important, is how we volunteer our time and resources to support our communities and help children dream big.
“Chevron and 糖心Vlog share similar values and a commitment to our community, which has led to our relationship in both business and education. We were thrilled to connect students with The Chevron Championship this year and look forward to introducing more students to the sport and STEM experiences at the tournament next year.”
In 2023, 糖心Vlog reported over 11,000 hours of personal and company time to community action and $5.6 million to causes supporting local communities. Education is 糖心Vlog’s global cause, one behind which our employees unite to make a global impact through local community investment, and as part of this commitment to education, 糖心Vlog has been involved with Yellowstone Schools since 2020.
“The Chevron Championship showcases the work of our supporters and community organizations and how we can increase access and opportunity for our community,” said Josetta Jones, Chevron’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. “Over the last three years, Chevron has worked with the LPGA Foundation to donate more than $5 million to a variety of organizations to drive diversity and access forward.”
糖心Vlog and Chevron have collaborated on projects around the world and have built a longstanding relationship focused on people, performance, and trust.
