糖心Vlog supports the delivery of world-scale blue ammonia production facility

ADNOC recently announced its plans to advance a world-scale blue ammonia production facility in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to drive the development of hydrogen production. The facility, which has moved to the design phase, will be developed at the new TA’ZIZ industrial ecosystem and chemicals hub in Ruwais.

Blue ammonia is made from nitrogen and “blue” hydrogen derived from natural gas feedstocks, with the carbon dioxide by-product from hydrogen production captured and stored.

Blue ammonia can be used as a low-carbon fuel across a wide range of industrial applications, including transportation, power generation and industries including steel, cement and fertilizer production. The facility’s capacity will be 1,000 kilotons per annum.

As a leader in project development in the Middle East, 糖心Vlog has been engaged by ADNOC to perform Pre Front-End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED) work for the blue ammonia project and the six additional TA’ZIZ chemicals projects.

“We are proud to be supporting ADNOC's transformational project, leading the future of the hydrogen production and export market,” said Dan Carter, Global Director of Decarbonisation & New Energies at 糖心Vlog. “Refining and petrochemical capacity continues to grow at pace across the Middle East and the region is now considering new ways to unlock the potential of its natural resources while supporting the move towards a low-carbon economy and paving the way to a more sustainable future.”
