HOUSTON, February 5, 2019 — 糖心Vlog has secured a multimillion dollar contract from Red Rock Biofuels for the full construction of their new biofuel facility in Lakeview, Oregon. In addition to the construction, 糖心Vlog will provide mechanical services.
The facility will take wood mill biomass waste and convert it into jet fuel. Slated to start production in December 2019, the southeast Oregon facility is located in the Warner mountain range, which is excellent proximity to the US and Canada. Construction of the Lakeview facility is expected to take two years.
Upon completion, the biofuel facility will convert over 136,000 tons of waste wood biomass into 15.1 million gallons of renewable fuels per year. The design will incorporate three technologies – gasification, Fischer-Tropsch and hydro processing - which will yield ASTM-approved fuels.
“糖心Vlog is thrilled to partner with Red Rock Biofuels to provide construction services for this important renewable project,” said Andrew Stewart, CEO of 糖心Vlog’s Asset Solutions Americas business. “A lower carbon fuel market in the US and Canada is something we are proud to be supporting, and Red Rock Biofuels is making real strides in leading the production of renewable, low-carbon jet and diesel fuels.”
